For the FBA Reimbursement Check

Who I am

This is a freelance service run by me, Jose Mbugua, in Nairobi, Kenya, under my own name. "FBA Reimbursement Check" describes the service. It is not a company or a trading name. When you order, your agreement is with me, and my invoices are in my name. I am independent, and not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon.

Before you order

This service is for businesses only. You place an order when you send me your reports, after I have sent you a link to these terms. By sending them, you confirm you order for your business, not as a consumer, and that you accept these terms. If your reports reach me before I have sent you the link, I send it and start only once you reply that you accept these terms. Only send reports you are allowed to share.

Fiverr and Upwork orders stay on that platform. They are paid and handled there, at the price and on the terms of the listing there, and that platform's rules come first.

What you get

  • One US, UK or EU marketplace, covering the last 9 months.
  • A short PDF showing reimbursements paid below your cost that you can still dispute, clawbacks worth questioning, inbound shipments still inside the 9-month window from delivery, and items Amazon values below your cost.
  • For each item, the report lines behind it, an estimated value and any deadline.
  • Shipments are a shortlist to check, not confirmed shortages. Your downloads do not show shipped against received.
  • One free update if you correct your costs or a report within 7 days of delivery.

Not included

  • Account access. I never ask for passwords, 2-step codes, user permissions or app connections.
  • Filing claims, appeals or follow-ups with Amazon. You decide what to file, file only claims you believe are accurate, and meet Amazon's deadlines.
  • Anything past Amazon's deadlines for your marketplace, currently 9 months from delivery for a shortage, and 60 days from the reimbursement date to dispute a paid reimbursement. The report marks these as expired.
  • Tax, legal or accounting advice.

What you send, and when the clock starts

Your Reimbursements, Inventory Ledger, Received Inventory and All Listings reports, plus accurate unit costs. Amazon may ask for supplier invoices to prove those costs.

I check your files within 1 working day of receiving them. When they are complete, I email you to confirm, with your due date: 3 working days after that email. If something is missing, I say what, and the clock waits. Working days are Monday to Friday, Nairobi time, not counting Kenyan public holidays.

Price, payment and late reports

A flat USD 99. I never take a percentage of what Amazon pays you.

I invoice you when your reports are complete, and I start straight away. You pay by Wise or PayPal, and I send the report once paid. If I am waiting for your payment, the report is not late. Bank fees, and any VAT or sales tax in your country, are yours.

If your report arrives after its due date, I refund you in full. If I find nothing worth filing, the report says so, and the fee still applies.

Step 2: shortage claims

I can prepare claims for shortlisted shipments, from USD 150 for up to 10 shipments. It is a separate order, agreed in writing first. If you go ahead within 14 days of your report, the USD 99 you paid for the check comes off, unless I already refunded it.

Amazon allows one claim per shipment, so each claim is prepared complete, to be filed once. You check it before you file it, and once filed it is yours.

Amazon's decisions and my liability

Amazon decides every claim, so I cannot guarantee approval or any amount. My values are estimates, based on Amazon's rules when I write the report.

If my work causes you a loss, the most I owe you is the fee for that order. I am not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, Amazon's actions on your account, or deadlines you miss after my report flagged them. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let me limit.

Your files and partners

I use your files only for your order. I never sell them, and I share them only as the Privacy page explains. It also says where they are kept and when I delete them.

If a partner referred you, I may pay them a fee. Your price stays the same, I tell you before you order, and I tell the partner only that you ordered.

If an agency orders a check for its own client, the agency is my client and must have that client's permission to send me the reports.

Changes, law and contact

The version dated at the top on the day you order applies. Kenyan law governs these terms, and disputes go to the courts in Nairobi. If something goes wrong, email me first so I can fix it. If your own country's law gives you rights that a contract cannot remove, these terms do not remove them.
